problem

The challenge was organizing multiple student thesis projects into a clear, cohesive catalog without overwhelming the reader.

solution

I designed a structured, editorial layout using strong typography and consistent spacing to create a clean, easy-to-navigate catalog.

The thesis catalog was designed using a structured three-column grid to create a clean and organized layout. This system allows flexibility for both text and imagery while maintaining strong hierarchy and readability.

Layout & Grid System

A consistent grid and typographic structure were used to guide the reader through each project. Images and text shift across columns to create visual interest while keeping the overall composition balanced and cohesive.

Translating Web to Print

In collaboration with Madelyn Ma, we translated the Thesis 2021 website into a print catalog by adapting its typography, grid system, and color palette. The goal was to maintain a cohesive visual identity while optimizing the design for readability and flow in print.
