Schenectady Pride needed a logo that felt meaningful and lasting, something that could represent both the LGBTQ+ community and the city’s identity. Their previous visuals lacked a strong, unified system and didn’t fully reflect their mission of inclusivity, pride, and community.

I created a clean, timeless logo that blends Pride symbolism with elements inspired by Schenectady’s history. The design system was built to be flexible and recognizable across print, digital, and event materials, ensuring consistency while celebrating identity and unity.

Schenectady Pride set out to create a logo that could truly represent their community as they prepared for their 11th Annual Pride Festival. The goal was to design something meaningful and lasting, one that honors both the city’s history and the values of inclusivity, pride, and unity. The idea for Snackify was sparked by the founders' shared passion for healthy living and the recognition of the challenges individuals face in making nutritious snack choices. They understood the importance of snacking in maintaining overall well-being and sought to create a service that would revolutionize the way people approach snacking. The founders envisioned a platform that would empower individuals to snack smartly and conveniently, without compromising on taste or their unique dietary requirements.

As an LGBTQ+ designer, this project held personal significance. I focused on understanding the organization’s mission and translating that into a visual identity that felt authentic and intentional. The challenge was balancing symbolism with simplicity while creating something that could stand the test of time.

Through an iterative design process, I developed a clean and versatile logo that reflects both the spirit of Pride and the character of Schenectady. The final result is a cohesive identity that can be used across events, marketing, and future initiatives, serving as a lasting symbol of community and celebration.
